Experience or Training Required:
Graduation from a business or administrative program and 1 year experience in administrative functions or equivalent in experience (3 years demonstrated experience in administrative program).
1. Ability to type 45 wpm.
2. Ability to take minutes of meetings.
3. Ability to proofread and correct errors in grammar and spelling.
4. Organized and efficient work habits with ability to prioritize.
5. Computer experience: Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Office Applications, Excel and
6. database.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and with distractions.
8. Professional telephone manner and ability to communicate information courteously to
9. general public, paid staff and volunteers.
10. Ability to work with diverse paid staff, volunteers and visitors who have diverse needs.
11. Requires accuracy, attention to details and excellent communication skills.
12. Ability to use office equipment (computers, printers, FAX, telephone).
13. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
14. Willingness to work flexible hours occasionally.
15. Ability to work with supervisor and major gifts officers.
